My touch points at Uniq App
Design the graphic design for marketing purposes.
Design the pitch deck for the potential client.
I joined Uniq App back in late 2013.
When I joined, there was no development team; it was only two founders and me.
Initially, we worked in the vendor office to help communicate between design and development.
And then after that, we worked in the cafe for a couple of months; I started my time in the cafeteria at 7 AM, and then we arranged our laptops and took turns for lunch; we kept doing this for more than three months until we moved to the new office (co-working space).
This is why they call it a startup.
The story of the product
The product started as a digital contact book where people exchange digital information.
This was relatively new then, as social media started to bloom.
The pivoting moment
When the CEO was back from Silicon Valley, we had this big meeting about the new roadmap and how vital the data, a.k.a "Data is the big thing now."
From that meeting, the product is pivoting from digital contact and is now a tool for real-time team communication.
And then now we have our engineering team. We have our own CTO and Head of Product now.
We started building the new product direction with cross-platforms (web and mobile).

The new Uniq product
And now have a working product, Uniq, to help the team communicate seamlessly on cross-platforms.
This is quite an exciting time for the team.
I also learned a lot from my mentor (Pak Satya - Head of Product)
He taught me a lot about UX exercise; he gave me this book (Don't make me think), and he was indeed a mentor.
Run simple and quick usability testing as much as we can.
Development cost should not be the bet.
Having a clear vision of what the product should be is essential, don't float.
I'm pushing my visual skills to the point that I lost focus.
